Mushroom cacao Drink

This mushroom cacao is a rich and comforting drink that combines raw, bio Peruvian cacao with our FungiTown mix of Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, and Reishi. This is ideal for a gentle morning warm-up or a cozy pause in your day.

Ingredients (per cup)

  • 15g or 2 tbsp FungiTown Mushroom cacao mix

  • 150ml plant-based milk

  • A dash or 1/3 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1-2 tsp sweetener

  • 1 tsp creamy nut butter of choice or tahini

  • Spices:

    • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

    • 1/3 tsp nutmeg

    • 1/5 tsp clove

Preparation

Mix the cacao with cold or room temperature milk

Grab a pot and add the milk. Before putting the heat on, use a whisk to mix the cacao and mushroom powder in with the milk until the powder mixture is fully dissolved. It’s important to do this first before heating up the milk to avoid clumps. 

Heat up the cacao

Turn the heat on in the lowest setting. 

Add in the vanilla, sweetener, nut butter and the spices

Add to taste.

Whisk until silky

Continue whisking the concoction for 5-6 minutes. Turn the heat off when the cacao starts to look silky but not thick as it will thicken more when it cools down. 

SERVE

OPTIONAL Serving

  • Top with whipped cream.
